Get Youthful Radiant Skin with Microdermabrasion

By Catherine Ruffels

Are you looking for a quick solution to your tired and dull skin? Are you suffering from hyperpigmentation, clogged pores, acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles? We have just the right treatment for you. Microdermabrasion is a highly effective professional skin treatment for skin rejuvenation that promises youthful, radiant skin with no downtime.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a noninvasive procedure that uses a machine with  variable flow of vacuum suction, this flows through a wand with fine crystal streams or diamond tip that exfoliate or buff the top layer of dry, dead skin cells.

When the top layer of the skin is buffed, the body interprets it as an injury and the quick response is to replace the lost skin cells with new, healthy ones. It stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin, allows better absorption of products and rejuvenates the skin giving you a healthy glow.

Healthy Glow

Microdermabrasion machines have a suction method that helps drain the lymphatic system and aids in blood circulation. Lymphatic drainage accelerates the absorption and transportation of lymphatic fluids which contain toxins, bacteria, viruses, and proteins. This will make your skin appear less puffy, more hydrated and glowing

Hyperpigmentation

Dark spots or hyperpigmentation are due to the overproduction of melanin in the skin giving you darker-colored patches on the outermost layer of the skin. Microdermabrasion with the use of fine crystals or diamonds can buff away the topmost layer encouraging regeneration of new skin cells giving you an even skin tone.

Blackhead and Mild Acne

Microdermabrasion may also be useful for people dealing with active mild-to-moderate breakouts. Aside from mechanically removing dead skin, the suction function helps clean out the pores, shrinks its size and removes excess sebum which is a primary reason for acne. However, if you’re dealing with an active nodular or cystic breakout, you may need to talk to your therapist about your options.

Scars

During the process, the topmost layer will be buffed and will become thicker as new skin cells are being produced, the cells on the lower layer of the epidermis will be knit together in a more consistent “basket weave” configuration giving you fuller, more plump skin, diminishing the appearance of depressed acne scars that lie flat against the epidermis. As for deeper scars you may have to consult your therapist about it.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Fine line and wrinkles can happen from natural aging, stress and sun damage. Microdermabrasion can increase collagen fibers, the protein responsible for skin elasticity. Thicker, more tightly packed, and more consistently organized collagen fibers make the skin plump and “springy” Diminishing fine lines and wrinkles.
