Microblading / Feathering
microblading/feathering and powder brow
Want to wake up with perfect brows? Are you ready to feel more confident and look younger?
Eyebrow tattooing is ideal for women who like a more defined look or filled in brow shape. It instantly makes you feel younger, and saves hours of frustration trying to draw your own eyebrows. Eyebrow tattoos are the best way of achieving the ‘open eye’ effect, which creates the appearance of a facelift. To create your perfect brow, we work with your natural brow shape, to create a subtle and natural look.
We guarantee satisfaction by using baby steps. Rather than rushing into having overly thick eyebrows that you might later regret, our professionalism and a trained eye will help you ease into your new -found tattoo. This method ensures that there is no room for error.
We use multiple methods to create your perfect brow
Feather-touch/stroke also known as Microblading is a technique, whereby fine strokes penetrate into the skin to create the most natural hair-like finish.
Powder Brow is a soft and natural look that suit most clients. Although most clients are into the idea of the feather stroke a soft and shaded powder brow looks amazing on all. Great for girls wanting a more defined brow to highlight their eyes more.
Ombre Brows have been a huge trend in makeup and tattooing. We create a softer shaded tattoo at the bridge of the nose continuing on with a bolder brow for definition.
Combinations Brows uses a combination of feather stroke with Powder shading using digital nano machine work.

How is the procedure done?
Colours are customised to suit each skin tone, natural brow hair colour or personal preference. Strokes are implanted behind existing hair to create a fuller brow or shape a non-existing brow. Tattooing will only begin when you are in love with the shape and we have been through a thorough consultation. You can choose to have them as soft or as defined as you like.
What does it feel like?
While we do numb the area about to be treated, some have a higher metabolism, which means the anesthetic wears off a little quicker. We do apply more anesthetic throughout the treatment to ensure you are comfortable. Some say they feel a little scratch as the micro blade creates the hair stoke.
How many treatments will I need?
At least 2 sessions will be required to achieve your perfect brows. a touch up session must be booked within 6 to 8 weeks of your initial appointment, it allows us to fill in any gaps, darken your colour, add more hair stokes and perfect your brows.
Important before and aftercare!
You will get much better results when you prepare well for your treatment. The eyebrow area must be healthy, strong, non-sensitive and non-irritated. Here’s how to get your skin ready for your new brows.
- Cease using any skin/blood thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
- Cosmetic botox or fillers should be done 2 weeks prior or 2 weeks after your appointment.
DO NOT consume alcohol, caffeine or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin 48 hours before your procedure, this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results)
- You may come in with how you normally draw in your brows/bring samples of brow shapes you like to the appointment.
- You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.
We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in or around the brow area.
Each client’s skin responds differently to these treatments. This information acts as a guideline only.
- There are many factors that affect the healing process that we have no control over (i.e how you take care of your brow tattoo, how your skin heals and retains pigment). Absolutely NO guarantee will be made and additional sessions (charged accordingly) may be required to obtain optimal results. This is especially subject to clients who have had their eyebrows previously tattooed as we unfortunately cannot correct all cases due to potential skin damage/pigment retention from other artists.
- Touch up needs to be done with in 6 to 8 weeks after your first session at a fee of $150.00 if it is left any longer additional charges may apply
CARING FOR YOUR NEW TATTOO
Congratulations on your new tattoo! Now you can sit back, relax and do nothing. Seriously.
Our clients get the best healed results using the ‘do nothing’ healing method. This involves keeping your brows dry from water contact for 3-5 days and not applying any cosmetics to your new tattoo until they are fully healed (1.5-2 weeks), keeping the area clean and letting it breathe.
Your skin may start to feel tight/dry around day 3-5 post tattoo session. You may apply a SMALL amount of coconut oil/aloe vera (plant or 100% pure gel, this is preferred) or a vitman E cream to your brows two times a day.
POST APPOINTMENT (14 DAYS)
After care is crucial, it is very important to follow these instructions to ensure proper healing and colour retention. Results will vary for all individuals and we can not guarantee your results.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Do not expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2 step sometimes multiple step process.
Be patient during your 2 week healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day.
Immediately after your procedure brows will appear darker and more defined and this will last up to 2 weeks . Your brow tattoo can appear more solid, hair strokes may seem to disappear, this is normal.
Around days 4-5 you will experience flaking and your brows may look dry. DO NOT PICK your brows, let them fall off naturally. If anything gets picked off prematurely missing hair stokes will result and cause patchy brows.
Your brow tattoo will take up to 4 to 6weeks to fully heal. When the flaking comes off the hair strokes may seem faint this is because a fresh layer of skin has healed over the brow tattoo. Give your brows a few weeks and the hair strokes will become clearer.
You may experience itchiness in the brows after the 10 days for up to 2 months due to the healing process of the dermal layer.
Not everyone’s hairstroke brows can heal clean and crisp. Hairstrokes for oilier skin types tend to heal more solid and powdery while drier skin types tend to heal more crisp and defined. Also for those who bleed more may tend to need more touch-ups as the blood pushes the pigment out while we tattoo.
WHAT NOT TO DO
DO NOT go into high sun exposure during the healing process, UV Rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo.
DO NOT use cleansers, soaps or any other creams on your brow tattoo. Wash around the area using a cleaning cloth or makeup wipe.
DO NOT run direct water on your brow tattoo. This is especially important in the first few days, you do not want to wash out any pigment.
DO NOT use any petroleum based products on your tattoo.
DO NOT use any makeup, creams, exfoliants on the brows for 2 weeks.
DO NOT go into sauna’s, pools, and steam rooms.
DO NOT get massages or facials or skin treatments during the healing process.
DO NOT use exfoliants, retinol acids, or AHA’s on the area for 30 days after the appointment, it will fade your tattoo prematurely.
DO NOT use laser light therapy on your brow tattoo. This can darken, lighten, and distort the pigment.
This is a 2 step process. The First Session is used to build shape and gain symmetry. The Second Session is used to perfect the brows and we can add density. This is a process and some clients may need multiple sessions to achieve their desired result, especially if there is an old tattoo being covered up.
The FIRST TOUCH UP or Second Session is done within the first 2 months after the First Session.
It is your responsibility to book your touch up appointments. If your tattoo comes back too faded additional charges may apply.
LONG TERM CARE
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS as everyone’s result will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial 10 day care and long-term care of your brow tattoo. This is especially subject to cover up work.
Use at least SPF 50 to protect your brows, sun exposure will cause fading and can alter the colour of your tattoo.
Do not use chemical exfoliants on the brows, this will cause the brows to fade faster.
Do not do laser your brow area (IPL etc), some lasers may change the colour of the ink.
As the tattoo fades the strokes will get fainter and less defined.
Maintenance is required to maintain desired results. Touch-ups are done on average every 9 to 12 or 12 to 18 months to maintain your brow tattoo.
Hairstroke brows typically last 1- 1.5 years.
It is recommended to plan ahead and make sure you have your eyebrows tattooed at least 2-3 weeks prior to any BIG event (in case of peeling/flaking etc). Your eyebrow tattoo service is an investment, so it is important to understand the healing is a delicate process and you must follow aftercare very strictly and be patient for best results. You will then have your perfecting session in (6-8weeks). We can then assess how you’ve healed and make any necessary changes or adjustments. This session really does just finish off the eyebrows perfectly, and ensures longer lasting results.
